Government Degree College Dronachalam was established in the year
1979. Since the establishment it has been serving the society with its full
potential.
The GVRS Government Degree College, Dronachalam was established in
1979 in Kurnool District. There was no Degree College for the students who
completed intermediate and they were deprived of degree education. With
the untiring efforts of local Philanthropist Sri. G.V. Rathnam Shetty, who
donated six acres of land and one lakh of rupees for the construction of
building. At present the college has 06 Acres of Land with 14 Rooms and 1
Seminar hall. The college was Accredited with “B” Grade by NAAC.
Since the Establishment BA and B.Com courses were offered in this college
and in the year 2008 Science courses BSC (MPC, MPCS, BZC) were
added catering to the needs of the students.
